Kochi Yosakoi Ambassador KIZUNA International Team performs in events, like the Kochi Yosakoi Festival, that are held around Japan and in different countries across the globe. The goal is to share with the world authentic Kochi Yosakoi dances and the wonders of Kochi and Japan.

Our team is not run by a corporate organization. So we need to gather the funds ourselves to participate in the festivals. Initial costs alone, which include the participation fees, composition of the performance song, costume creation, choreography, sound system for the music truck, etc., can easily surpass a couple million yen.

For the most part, operating expenses are covered by the member’s participation fees. We are doing what we can, however, to lower the amount of this participation fee so that more members are able to experience true yosakoi in its homeland of Kochi.

That being said, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the majority of our members. So we would like to prepare for them the best equipment, production, and overall environment we can.

We have members participating from over 20 different countries in the world. A few of these countries have a major economic disparity when compared with Japan. For some of our members the fee to participate in the Kochi Yosakoi Festival is double or triple the amount using their currency, so it ends up costing them a lot more.

In order to increase the number of members like this who can participate in the festivals -and so that these members will be able to share with even more people around the world the wonders of Yosakoi, Kochi, and Japan- we are asking for donations to support our team. These donations will go towards the music truck and other required equipment for our team to participate in the festivals.
