2018年 桜舞ポーランド国際チーム PV

Hello! I am Emiko Tanaka, certified Yosakoi Ambassador.
Currently, while managing a Japanese Language school in Toronto, Canada, I am involved in activities to help spread the joy of Yosakoi Dance around the world.
I started Yosakoi myself 12 years ago, and have cherished these years dearly as Yosakoi is such an invigorating dance that brings together the community.

I have launched five Yosakoi groups so far: Sakuramai Toronto in Canada, Sakuramai Poland in three separate cities in Poland, and the Hungary Yosakoi Team Sumire.
In 2016 we were recognized as “”Kochi Prefecture Yosakoi Ambassadors“” by the Governor of Kochi.
Then, in 2017, I was appointed as “”Yosakoi Meister.”” That is, one who spreads the dance to countries where there are not yet any Yosakoi teams.

Yosakoi is a dance that overcomes the barriers of culture and language.
In other words, it is a wonderful dance that anyone can enjoy.
In order to continue spreading this dance around the world, last year we launched the “”Sakuramai Poland International Team.””
This team consisted of 63 members from 12 different countries and regions across the globe. Together we were able to participate in the Kochi Yosakoi Festival.

My dream is to spread Yosakoi around the world and in turn increase cultural awareness and bring together various communities.

Along with sharing our activities as Yosakoi Ambassadors, the purpose of this website is to allow international Yosakoi fans to interact globally.
